Waratah Room

Hello Again
This year seems to be just flying by. Your little people have been very busy the last few months learning their self help skills and are becoming very caring towards their friends. We have also been learning our colours through art, puzzles, songs and
sorting activities. The children have picked up this knowledge
incredibly well.

Winter is arriving. We will soon be changing to our winter routine, your child may become a little bit upset at drop off because of this change in routine, however, we will do our best to make this a smooth transition for them and as always they will adapt quickly like the little champions they are.

Please remember to bring jumpers and enclosed shoes for your child to help keep them extra warm as we play outside, and please ensure that you also pack enough spare clothes to suit the cooler temperatures.

On Friday the 23rd of July we will be having a ‘Pajama Day’ at Kindy. The children are invited to come to kindy dressed in their favourite pjs for a cozy day of fun. They can also bring their favourite teddy if they like.

July 4-11 is NAIDOC Week and although we like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we call home all year, Naidoc week is a dedicated time of evens and celebrations held across the country to better understand and recognize the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people.

Don’t forget to like our Facebook page to see more photos of your child’s day at kindy, and we also have a new Instagram

page under GCIT Children’s Centre if you would like to give us a follow. Please feel free to share what you get up to on a weekend via
That’s all for now, if you have anything you would like to discuss please feel free to see myself or Tanya.
Thank you
Anne. Gabby and Eva
