Everlasting Daisies
Room

5 to 12 years

We offer before and after school care every day for children attending Bellevue Park State School. Our educators provide an engaging curriculum that offers age appropriate activities and experiences for the children attending. The curriculum is based upon “My Time, Our Place” which is part of the Early Years Frame Work.

By using this flexible framework it really encourages the children to learn through their play. This helps to ensure that each and every child is getting the most out of their time here, as they have the freedom to choose activities based up what they are interested in. There is a broad range of things that they are able to choose from such as board games, outdoor play and sports, creative experiences, and group activities to name a few.

We provide an atmosphere where our school children can relax and unwind, enjoy a shared meal together and discuss their days. By offering this natural setting it really encourages the children to explore nature and that is sometimes what they need after a busy day of learning at school. We find our school children can be inquisitive and with this in mind, we offer a large garden where we are growing vegetables that they can tend too, composting that they can help us with, or they can enjoy the yard with their friends. We also provide an undercover area which we utilise on rainy days.

We offer Vacation Care during the school holidays which are a firm favourite with our school children. During each holiday period there is a curriculum planned which offers a variety of activities and experiences to entertain each and every child.

Some of the activities that the children are able to participate in are make your own playdough, paper crafts, creating your own abacus, flowerpot creations, board games, Nintendo Wii games and dancing, riding bikes, climbing trees, a variety of different friendly competitions such as cooking or colouring. The children have the opportunity to use the props that we have to set up a variety of different activities that may continue on for the whole two weeks depending on the engagement. This is why it is so important for us to offer the flexible curriculum based upon their needs.

Our Experienced Educators

Dalila

Lead Educator

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

My name is Dalila and I am from Mexico.  I have more than ten years’ experience as a journalist back in my home country.  I have been in Australia almost 3 years and here I discovered my passion for teaching and helping children to improve their skills, so I studied Early Childhood Education and Care and I am also planning to teach Spanish as a second language.  In my spare time I love watching movies, listening to music, writing, eating Mexican food and discovering a little bit more of Australia.

Karla

Trainee

My name is Karla and I am a trainee here at GCIT Children’s Centre. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be apart of these children’s first five years of life as they are the most important years. I am choosing to learn how to become an educator, as it has been one of my dreams to work and care for children. I am enjoying the opportunity to work in each of the rooms with all different ages. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports, singing, taking my dog on walks and hanging out with friend and family.
