Waterlillies Room

6 weeks to 2 years old

At GCIT Children’s Centre we greatly appreciate the trust you place in us to provide your child/children with highest quality care and attention.

Our Waterlillies room starts from 6 weeks of age up until two years of age and provides a warm, safe environment for your child to learn and grow. Caring, gentle and long standing educators will develop nurturing relationships with your baby, so your child will develop trust and a sense of belonging within centre.

We understand that it can be such a big decision to leave your baby, our main focus is creating safe and secure bonds with your baby which then ensures that you feel confident in your choice. We have created a warm, calming and homey environment which encourages reciprocal relationships.

You can have full confidence in knowing that qualified educators will be caring for your child and involving them in curriculum that is solely based on their needs. Our curriculum supports your child’s growth and development by offering a range of different activities to engage your child in essential sensory exploration to enhance their cognitive, fine and gross motor skills. Your child will have the opportunity to play with a variety of different age appropriate activities, feel different textures, create arts and crafts, as well as one on one time, small group experiences, shared story times, listening to music, outdoor play and so much more.

All learning activities are carefully designed to be age-appropriate and safe. As such, our nursery is a place where you child can freely learn about the world in a cosy and safe environment.

Hayley

Lead Educator

Diploma in Children’s Services

My passion caring for children started at a young age so there was no questioning what career path I was going to take.  I have been a part of the GCITCC team for almost 20 years so it really is my home away from home and that is the environment that I strive to create for all the families that attend the centre.  I have had several years’ experience working with all of the age groups of children and I would find it hard to choose a favourite as they are all so rewarding in different ways.  At the moment I am the Lead Educator in the Nursery.  Caring for the babies warms my heart as we are able to form such close bonds with them.  This allows them to feel safe and secure and become their own unique being.  It is a big responsibility and honour to be entrusted with the care of your children. Being a mother myself I truly understand how important it is to know that your child is provided with a safe and loving environment that nurtures growth and development.

Early Childhood Education and Care

My name is Katherine and I work alongside Hayley in the nursery room.  I love working at GCIT Children’s Centre, we have a great team who put the children’s wellbeing first.  I am a mother of four children so I understand the importance of knowing your child is happy, healthy and thriving.  We have formed lovely bonds with our group of children and I just love seeing how happy and settled everyone is.  The best part about my role is all the lovely cuddles I get and seeing all the children reach their developmental goals.
