Hello Everyone,
Last month seems to have flown by. We were very busy settling in, getting to know each other and making our room feel homely. The children love seeing photos of themselves and their friends, this has been a good opportunity to develop a sense of belonging at kindy and work on learning everybody’s names.

The children love seeing photos of themselves and their friends, this has been a good opportunity to develop a sense of belonging at kindy and work on learning everybody’s names.
In our room we will have the Waratah Family Tree, where we will be hanging photo’s of all of our families to help promote a sense of community. Please bring in a family photo for our tree or you can email one to gcitcc@bigpond.com.
On top of the lockers is our Learning Story which contains photos and information on what your children did at kindy during the day.We will be emailing weekend sheets and we would love it if you took the time to
tell us about your child weekend so we can extend on this at the Centre. Parental input is a valued part of our programming
Please remember to check your child’s pocket (outside the room, in the hallway) each day for your child’s daily slip, which tells you all about your child’s day. Our newsletter and important notes/messages are also put in your child’s pocket.
This month we have started our tooth brushing program. The Centre will provide each child with a toothbrush, toothpaste and a case. We will be brushing our teeth after rest time each day. Our tooth brushing program helps children to develop good dental hygiene. If you have any questions about this please see either Gabby, Eva or myself (Anne).
Friday 12th February is Chinese new year, we have a special menu planned to celebrate the day, we will have lots of fun listening to traditional music and celebrating the beginning of the year of the Ox.
