August / September 2021

Waterlillies Room

Hello everyone,

I can’t believe we are in August already! Hopefully we are on the tail end of these cooler mornings and we will be able to swap back to our summer routine soon.

Just when we were hoping things were getting back to normal, life is becoming a bit uncertain again. We cannot stress enough, please wear a mask on drop off & pick up, sign in on the app and use hand sanitizer and please if your child is sick, please keep them at home.

Dental Week

We will be focusing on teaching the children good dental hygiene practice and we will also introduce our tooth brushing program to the older children in the room. They will start to brush their teeth daily after they wake up from their rest. The centre will provide an age appropriate toothpaste and tooth brush. We will also be offering the children play-based experiences that encourage healthy eating, which is the basis of good dental health. Exposing the children to these healthy foods creates a familiarity to them and they are more likely to form healthy eating habits when they are older.

Father’s Day

WE are hoping that Covid won’t get in the way of us hosting our Father’s Day breakfast, if we able to Dad, grandad’s and uncles are invited to a sit down breakfast with their child to say thank you to the special men in our lives.  We hope to see you there.

Book Week:

Will see us reading lots of our favourite stories.  We have a great parent library outside the kitchen in the foyer that your encouraged to borrow from and celebrate  books.

There are a few dress up days/fundraising days  approaching also
