Hello everyone,
The year is certainly going very fast. How are we in June already. As we are coming in to the cooler months, and there is a lot of colds and flu’s going around the community, can I please remind all families of the importance of good hand washing for the prevention of diseases and infections. This must be done when arriving at the centre, before handling food including babies bottles, before eating, after going to the toilet, after wiping noses, after playing outside, after handling garbage, before giving medication and before leaving the centre of an afternoon.
Steps to follow for good hand washing include:
- Use liquid soap and running water
- Wash your hands thoroughly (front and backs) while counting from 1 to 10
- Rinse your hands while slowly counting from 1 to 10
- Dry your hands thoroughly.
Please use the hand sanitizer located in reception upon entry to the centre.
Please remember that if your child is unwell that you must keep them at home.
We would also like to thank you all for the donations we receive in the baskets in the foyer, the things we receive are used within each and every room for a variety of different activities. As part of our continual reflections on our practices, we have decided to no longer accept toilet rolls to help maintain a high level of hygiene at the centre.
On other exciting news, Anne is almost ready to commence her journey in to becoming a parent, and we are sending her off with all the love, support and best wishes!!
Over the coming weeks you may see a new face in the centre, Delila has come on to the team as a relief person, and we are looking forward to you and the children getting to know her over the next few months.
Kindy Photos will be happening at the centre on the 9th, 10th and 11th of August 2022. As we get closer to this time, we will have more information regarding times and days for your children.
Important information about CCS
If you received Child care Subsidy (CCS) for 2020/2021 you must confirm your income with Centrelink. This includes CCS paid directly to you and CCS paid on your behalf to the Centre.
If you have not confirmed your income you need to do it now. If you do not confirm your 2020/2021 income by 30th June 2022, your CCS will stop on 13th July 2022.Don’t forget to come and see me if you have any questions.
I would like to encourage as many of you to come to our annual AGM which will be held on Tuesday the 12th of June 2022 at 6.00pm
As we are a community non profit centre we are managed by a management committee who meet once a month. This is a great way to become involved in the running of the centre and have an involvement in your child’s time while here at the centre. If anyone is interested in becoming involved and wish to run for any positions please come and see myself for a nomination form. All positions must be on nomination forms.
Babysitting will be available on the night. Please let Tanya know if you require babysitting.
I look forward in seeing as many of you there as we need the majority of parents to attend so as we have a quorum because without this we can not have the AGM.
